Recently I prepared a 9-page PDF report about the family of John Woodrow Richmond and Helen Lucille Postlewaite and shared it to, my membership only, Henthorn Genealogy page on Facebook.

I worked on the Richmond family for many years.  More recently, I began compiling information about the Postlewaite family (There are several spellings for the last name, Postlewaite.)

FindAGrave

Today I decided to create a FindAGrave account.

I noticed some errors. For example: one record showed the birth and death month of an infant as, 17 Aug of some year.  When I looked at the photograph of the tombstone the day and month was clearly, 7 Aug.  In another case, the middle name of the father was, Evert and the middle name of a son was Everet. I want to be able to quickly communicate with the person who posted when I notice a problem.

I'm working on extracting some information about the West Virginia families of: Hostutler and Wildman.  There are links to Richmond, Yoho and Lemley.

Richmond Edits

Today I completed the edits to the records of people with the Richmond surname in my Yoho, Baker, Rine file.  There still may be collateral surnames that require editing.  I can prepare an indexed Register Report of just over 500 pages for this West Virginia family.

I found a biographical sketch for William Henry Richmond on the webpages of Linda Fluharty and incorporated the sketch and the information it contains into my file.  Thanks Linda for sharing.
