This indenture made this second (?) day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirteen between William Henthorn son of James Henthorn of the county of Ohio and State of Virginia of the one part and Robert Gray of the county and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said William Henthorn for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and ten dollars to him in hand paid by the said Robert Gray before the ... and delivering of those presents the weight whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath given granted bargained sold ... and confirmed and by these presents do give grand bargain ... ... and confirm to the said Robert Gray and his heirs one parcel of land in the county of Ohio and state aforesaid containing seventy three acres one half and twenty perches which was the property of the heirs of Susannah Henthorn deceased which they the said heirs hereby bind themselves to relinquish their rights and claims to the aforesaid tract of land and for that purpose hereunto subscribe their names and affix their seals to wit Stephen Burkam and Sarah his wife; William Shepherd and Mary his wife; James Henthorn and Elizabeth his wife; and Mathew Howell and Rebecca his wife, and jointly and finally bound to ... ... their right to the aforesaid tract of land which is bound as followeth ... Beginning at a long ... tree and running (?) North seventy three and one half degrees, West one hundred and sixty poles to a branch joining land of James Henthorn, then South twenty nine degrees west (?) seventy five poles to a ... oak joining land of Wm Stephenson thence South seventy three and one half degrees East one hundred and sixty poles to a Lignon tree thence North twenty nine degrees; East Seventy five poles to the Beginning (?). With the apurtenances to the said Robert Gray his heirs and assigns to the sole use and behoof of the said Robert Gray and his heirs and the said William Henthorn do covenant with the said Robert Gray and his heirs said parcel of land with its apurtenances ... him the said Robert Gray his heirs executors adm (?) ... and ... against all manner of person or persons claiming or hereafter to claim said shall warrant and forever defend.
By these presents. In witness whereof the said William Henthorn, Fanny his wife and the aforesaid heirs and ... of ... have hereunto subscribed their names and affixed their seals day and year above written.

A true copy of the original which was acknowledged in court at July Term 1813 by Wm Henthorn & Fanny his wife parties ... & ordered to be ... & at the same time the said Fanny being privately examined ... and that she did ... voluntarily ... the same & wishes not to contradict (?) it & at August Term 1813 was proven to be the acts of the other parties ... by the oaths of John Feay, John Myers and Thomas White and ... to be ......
